Weapons: The left arm is equipped with a close combat weapon with a built in storm bolter (which may be upgraded to a heavy flamer for +10pts). The right arm may be equipped with one of the following weapons: Assault Cannon (+30pts); Twin linked Lascannon (+50Pts); Twin linked Heavy Bolter (+30Pts); Multi-Melta (+40pts); Plasma Cannon (+40pts); Twin-Linked Autocannon (+35pts).

Options: A Dreadnought may take any of the following vehicle upgrades at the appropriate points cost: Smoke Launchers, Extra Armour, Searchlight. The Close Combat Weapon may be upgraded to a missile launcher for +10pts.

Special Rules

Ancient Dreadnought: The Ancient Dreadnought are many thousands of years old and many are covered in battle scars and trophies dating as far back as the time of the Space marine legions. Ancient Dreadnoughts cause fear, so anyone wishing to assault one must first pass a Ld test.

Damage Resistant: Ancient Dreadnoughts have survived injuries and damage that would shattered the souls and armour plating of lesser Dreadnoughts. Thus, if hit, they make two damage rolls and chose the one the dreadnought player wants, even it is a result already rolled.

Well-Equipped: Over the thousands of years each Ancient Dreadnought has been in service, they have accrued all manner of weird and wonderful modifications, so you may choose one of the following two modifications to add to your Ancient Dreadnought (you do not have to pick one, but you may not pick both): Hi-Res Targeter: (+20 points) +1 balistic skill, no penalties for fast moving targets, may fire at enemies that are only detected, not seen, OR ECM Package: (+35 points) -1 to hit dreadnought with shooting attacks.
