I wish to report back on the recent confrontation between Strike Force Epsilon and one of the many Necron armies roaming the planet surface. We engaged the enemy at Scyros Valley under the cover of darkness. Venerable Brother Librarian de Montbard of the Black Templars Chapter accompanied by a contingent of Impetor and Warlord dreadnoughts from the Blood Angels, Avenging Angels, Flesh Tearers and Crimson Fists Chapters comprised our diversionary force, while myself and the rest of Strike Force Epsilon formed the main assault.

The battle was long and drawn out. Our diversionary force set up on a ridge behind the Necron fortress. At the designated time, they unleashed volleys of heavy weapon fire and psychic barrages at the fortress. As expected, within seconds, the vast majority of the Necron force left the compound to attack de Montbard and his team, whereupon myself and 16 accompanying dreadnoughts rounded the compund to attack the enemy from behind. Hald of our force entered the compund and wiped out the remaining necrons, while crossfire wiped out their attack force.

We are proud to report that the compound, and the Valley are under Imperial control. We have successfully held off all attempts by the Necron warriors to re-take the compound. The whole campaign passed with minimal casualties on our side, the only loss being that of the Crimson Fist Dreadnought, Venerable Brother Haasoal, may the Emperor guard his soul.
